MIJENTE'S 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY 🐜 MIJENTE 10 AÑOS 🐜

What is Sazonblea?

Sazonblea is Mijente Members' bi-annual gathering. Similar to Lánzate, a social, cultural, and political festival for the Latinx movement ecosystem, Sazonblea includes programming that weaves political, organizing, social, and cultural work.

From October 16-19, 2025, we’re coming together to shape what comes next. We’re holding discussions about the path forward and hosting forums to assess the political moment and guide our future interventions. Whether you’ve been throwing down with us since the beginning or recently felt the call to join our political home, Sazonblea is the space to skill up while building connections with your compas from across the movement.

The location is chosen by assessing needs and opportunities of a locality in regards to organizing – this year we’ve chosen Chicago, Illinois as our Sazonblea 2025 location.

“It’s said that if you’re not at the table, you’re on the menu, or they expect you to pick, cook, and serve the food. We believe that the change we need isn’t just going to happen, we have to make it happen.”

Tickets

This year, we are implementing a sliding scale ticket system to attend Sazonblea 2025. The sliding scale ranges from $75 to $325. You can select your ticket range at checkout.

If your participation is being covered by an organization, especially one with a larger budget, we strongly encourage selecting a ticket at the higher end of the scale. This helps make it possible for more of our gente, including those organizing in community or with smaller budgets, to be part of the gathering.

Registration includes access to all sessions of Sazonblea 2025, our 10-Year Anniversary evening gala, meals during the programming, and admission to nightly events and jangueos.

Join us in Chicago, IL, from October 16 - 19, 2025, for Sazonblea, Mijente's biannual membership gathering!

Regional Virtual Meet-Ups

This July, we’re inviting you to gather with other Mijente members in your region— whether you’re closest to/on the East Coast, in the Central Region, or out West— to reconnect with each other and reflect on the political landscape we’re in, while building toward what’s ahead for us in Chicago.

We know what time it is. We’re already seeing the impacts of organizing under a second Trump administration: increased ICE presence, our gente being kidnapped from their homes and workplaces, communities living in fear again, and politicians lining up to scapegoat us for political gain. For many of us, it feels like we’re back in 2016— but with even more at stake.

And still, we move. Like hormigas, we keep going. We carry what we can. We organize in our neighborhoods and show up for our communities. We each bring our grain of sand— a little piece of something bigger— to help build the world we deserve.

That’s what these regional calls are about. We’re coming together to ground ourselves in the political moment, and beginning the shared journey toward Sazonblea– our national gathering, and a powerful offering in response to this political moment. Sazonblea is where we come together to build strategy, deepen relationships, and remember what we’re fighting for. These calls are the first step on that road.

Register for a virtual Meet-up in your region.

Come learn what we aim to cover this year at Sazonblea. Come hear about the in-person gatherings we’ll be hosting on the way to Chicago. Come be part of setting the path forward, juntes.

So whether you’ve been organizing for years or are just finding your way back, we hope you’ll join your regional call. This is a space for all of us— to breathe, to reflect, to build, and to remember that we’re not alone in this political moment, or ever.
